This is a handmade (Vegan Friendly Lifestyle) necklace. The pendant is turquoise stone carved to look like a small turtle. It has one howlite bead as well. It is strung on coated cotton cord.

Below is a list of all the different gemstones used in this necklace and their healing properties.
Turquoise: Known as the talisman of kings, shamans, and warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch, and healing to the eye. It is a symbol of wisdom, nobility and the power of immortality or life after death. Turquoise was considered sacred, often being used as adornment in all manners of jewelry, clothing, and accessories for its power, luck, and protection.
Howlite: It is a stone of awareness. It can prepare the user or wearer to receive wisdom and attunement from the Higher Self and the Divine. It is also used for dimensional travel and healthy meditation. Howlite can also be used to release attachments, or cords, linking old emotional pain, from this life or a past life, to the present.
Turtle: Represents the world or Earth and all that inhabit it as a whole. Turtle gives the ability to stay grounded, even in moments of disturbances and chaos. It teaches us and helps us slowdown in this fast pace life and pace ourselves, while still remaining determined, motivated, and persistent with our goals. Turtle also represents emotional strength and understanding ancient wisdom.

This is a Vegan Friendly Lifestyle necklace. That means absolutely no animal parts or animal byproducts are on this necklace, or were used to make this necklace. The cotton cording is called "waxed" cotton cord, but the cord I use does not use any actual wax from animals or even synthetic wax. The cotton is simply highly polished giving it the "waxed" like features, keeping it fairly durable and fray free. The dye on the cotton cord is dyed using extracts from plants.
Most Necklaces I make are very long and actually to big for most people. The ends of the cotton cord used for the necklaces are knotted and can easily be cut and retied so you can easily make the length of the necklace shorter to best suit your look and body type. The reason I did this, is so the necklaces can fit anyone. It is best to have the necklace be to long, yet easily resizable, then to be to small and unable to be resized at all.
