Though I’d formally left my Corporate IT career several years ago, this year, that use of technology came into play again. The blessing is that with all events done virtual, we were able to connect around the globe. This last year, I have met so many amazing people virtually, from Australia, Bali, Belgium, England, Ireland, France, and far too many to name. I’m feeling incredibly blessed. We learned to use technology to connect us rather than separate us. We looked out rather than looking down into meaningless scrolling. Even the Louvre put its entire art collection online. We discovered there are other ways to visit the world virtually. The sad truth is that there are still so many that do not have this ability to connect. There is still inequality, and we have so much work yet ahead of us to level up in ways that bring equality, awareness, honoring, and hearing all. We must continue on the quest of learning, understanding, and balancing. The March 28 Full Moon in Libra reminded us of where there might yet be imbalances and what work we need to do.
This winter was the first year in probably 35 years that I’d not traveled over the winter months. I experienced a more profound awareness of myself and a ‘wandering’ in my own house and my mind vs. the outer world. Yet, in ways, I wandered our new world through clients and virtual events. I had a fantastic opportunity to connect with Paq’os from the Q’eros community of Peru, Guillermo and his wife – virtually. The journey from their mountain community to Cuzco took days. In Cuzco, Rony, their translator, and coordinator connected and translated for us. I’d first met Rony, Guillermo, and his wife a few years ago when my daughter and I hiked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. In March, it was their FIRST time to use technology to connect. Technology was not a roadblock but a gateway to something new. A new way for them to reach people, work, and share their gifts. Thank you to all that participated in these events. As we emerge from winter to spring and venture out, remember to remember all that you experienced of your inner being, what you’ve experienced or learned over this past year. There are reasons for everything and learnings to expand our intellect in everything we experience.
